Dumburiguda, AP VOICE TODAY: Allegations have surfaced that students at the Ekalavya Model Gurukul School in Dumburiguda mandal are being made to do work other than studies.

During midday meal hours at the school, students are being made to serve food. Apart from this, children are also being used to shift ration supplies and other materials required for the school, say parents and locals expressing concern. 😟

📌 Parents Express Anger

Parents are expressing anger, saying it is wrong to make students who joined the gurukul for higher education do such physical labor, and that it is affecting their studies. They stated that children are facing severe difficulties with classes from morning to evening, followed by such work.

📌 Officials Neglect

Despite filing complaints several times on this matter, the concerned officials are ignoring it, they allege. School management is reportedly responding that "students are being made to do it as part of self-service."
