Ashram Students' Haircut Woes: Students Forced to Shave Each Other Due to Lack of Funds
AP Voice Today, Munchingiputtu: As part of student discipline, hair on the head must be trimmed. Earlier, a barber was specially arranged in the ashram schools to do the haircut. The government used to release funds as part of cosmetic charges for students in ashrams.
For the last few years, as funds have not been released, students are doing their own haircuts. 1500 students are studying in Munchingiputtu mandal. Earlier, funds were given from the Tribal Welfare Department to give haircuts to the students there.
For the last few years, as funds have not been given, and unable to spend money for haircuts due to poverty, the students in the school are giving each other haircuts on their own.
Students and parents are requesting officials to respond and sanction funds.
